CHETI Secondary School is located in the rural village of Nadasoito. The area has no access to fresh drinking water, no electricity and no public transport.
The local community are mainly part of the Massai tribe, living in a mix of mud huts and brick houses, the majority of adults are illiterate and earn less than $50 a month.
This community had no secondary school. Children had to walk 8km to a government school where classrooms were overcrowded and education was poor. Made With Hope and CHETI constructed a brand new secondary school to educate 250 children.

We’ve supported this school in the following four programmes:
Let Us Learn: School builds
Completed: Contributed to the building of a new secondary school by building 6 classrooms and 1 biology lab
Completed: Fitted all classrooms with desks and blackboards
Completed: Purchased 100 text books & 4 computers
Water Is Life: Clean water
Completed: Installation of 3 rain water harvesting units and tanks
Being Well: Health
Completed: Built 10 girls toilets
Completed: Installed 2 hand washing stations
Lighten Up: Clean energy
Completed: Provided solar lamps for students to complete homework at home where there is no electricity

The future of this partnership
We have achieved so much with CHETI Secondary School since 2013. We are going to allow the school to take some time to focus on the running of the school and only look to implement smaller projects such as:
Purchasing more computers
Providing more text books
